Homebirth

Though childbirth moved into the hospital system in the early 1900s, many people continue to choose to give birth at home. Home births are attended by certified professional midwives and allow for the freedom and comfort of birthing in a familiar space. Research shows that home birth is a safe option for healthy, low risk pregnancies and can result in fewer interventions. 

There are currently no home birth midwives offering services on Martha’s Vineyard. If you know a midwife that would like to be listed please let us know.
