Childbirth Education Classes help to educate and prepare parents for what to expect during childbirth, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Classes are held at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and are taught by the maternity nurses. Each class focuses on a different topic such as the stages of labor and breastfeeding.

Robin has been a practicing birth doula and childbirth educator for almost 20 years in New York City where she teaches childbirth preparation, newborn care, and lactation classes at New York University Langone Medical Center, Tribeca Pediatrics, and Birth Day Presence. She is a Lamaze Educator Trainer at NYC Lamaze where she co-teaches Lamaze’s training seminars with co-directors Judith Lothian and Allison Walsh. She serves on the Lamaze International Board of Directors as an Educator Director and has contributed to periodicals such as The Guardian, Romper, and Glamour. She is a native New Yorker splitting time between 2 islands, Manhattan and Martha’s Vineyard.
