Doula Services
A doula can provide physical and emotional support during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Doulas perform different roles depending on individual needs, and offer a variety of services including childbirth education, personalized referrals, reassurance, birth plan development and pain management, labor position and movement techniques. Doulas are not medical professionals, but in many cases can help navigate the medical system by providing education about common medical practices and procedures and communicating preferences to medical staff.

I've attended births for the past 12 years. It is always a great honor to be present at a birth. I have provided labor support at home and in the hospital. It is my goal to help women understand their strength and ability during the unknown experiences of labor, and to help guide the woman and her family though the process. In the home birth setting I act as both doula to the laboring woman, and assistant to the midwife's needs. I am also a breastfeeding coach and in training to become a certified EMT.
